Roar of the Wild is an ad campaign that I am creating for Pittsburgh Zoo. It is a campaign to get people to take more of a interest in the lions, tigers, and bears in the zoo. It uses shapes to create the animals. All natural colors and tones were chosen from the animals selected. The campaign includes shirts, tickets, billboards, posters, an app and inventions. The text was formatted to look as if the animal was actual roaring. It has a rough feel and variable sizes to make the type feel loud. This campaign was my first assignment as a graphic design I have grown in my typography and Illustrator skills since then. I completely restarted this campaign keeping the main idea but all new graphics and type. This campaign also uses all photos I have taken as imagery of the zoo. The demographic for this campaign is the 16–29-year old’s young activist who have a passion for animals. The app was made to get the younger generation involved such as 9–15-year-olds. The app allows parents and children to make donations to the zoo through buying coins and caring for their animals. They will also be able to purchase an honorary ownership of an animal and be able to track the actual animals’ health and well-being.
